Rouen is the capital of the Normandy region, about 150 km northwest of Paris. Just follow the Seine toward the ocean, and you can't miss it. There is a large cathedral and in the winter a great Christmas market.

This route heads out of Paris toward the Forêt Domaniale de Saint-Germain, which is a typical segment for the Paris-London ride. It then cuts back to follow the Seine around La Roche-Guyon. The view as you approach the river is one of my favorites — you look down from the bluffs to see the river winding below, carved into the white limestone cliffs. The route doesn't pass the château directly, but it could be an easy add-on if you haven't seen it. From there, you mostly just follow the Seine. The route cuts a few corners of the river bends but keeps you on pretty decent paved roads and paths for the rest of the way.

This is a great route that avoids the busy roads or muddy paths that Strava auto routing or other options may present. For the return its a direct train back to Paris Saint-Lazare or you can spend the night a ride back the next day!
