This 60 km loop is a great option for any occasion — especially when you want to give someone a taste of Paris and the surrounding region. It’s similar to my Paris Hottest Hits route but features a few variations, particularly on the way out of the city including skipping the Champs-Élysées.

The ride takes a more direct exit through the 15th arrondissement to get out of the city efficiently. After just 12 km, you’ll find yourself in the forested areas of Meudon and Verrières before arriving in Bièvres. From there, the route follows the lower valley road for a smoother and quicker ride all the way to Jouy-en-Josas before heading up the climb to the top of Les Loges-en-Josas. Even though it’s not far from Paris or Versailles, this charming little town always reminds me of the smaller villages out in the countryside. After that, you descend past the Buc Aqueduct — another favorite sight of mine to show anyone new to the region.
The ride continues into Versailles and leads you right up to the front of the château for a quick photo op. On the return to Paris, the route passes through Saint-Cloud, offering another great stop with a stunning overlook of the city. After taking in the view of the Eiffel Tower and the skyline, you descend back down and cruise along the quai.
Of course, on the way back you’ll pass even more iconic sights — the Eiffel Tower, Pont Alexandre III, Place de la Concorde, and more — before wrapping up with a well-deserved coffee at the café.
