Chevreuse 101 features some of the key highlights of the area while trying to keeping the mileage manageable. The route takes a quick and direct exit from Paris, heading through Sèvres toward Versailles. While this isn’t the most scenic way out, it gives you more time to enjoy the Chevreuse Valley, which, in my opinion is well worth it.

After climbing past the Buc Aqueduct, you roll across open fields before descending into Châteaufort and climbing back out. Then comes the descent into the Chevreuse Valley, where you take the more scenic route across the valley floor into the village instead of the busy main road. From there, the route continues to Dampierre, passing by the base of the famous 17 Turns climb. For now, you skip the climb and enjoy a bonus loop that adds beautiful scenery and more time away from the city before looping back to tackle 17 Turns. After the climb, you follow the usual return route until just before Versailles, where the route cuts east through Buc and heads to Jouy-en-Josas.

From there, it's a final climb up through Meudon, followed by the descent to the quai and a nice cruise back to the café.
