"Not Quite Versailles" is similar to a Marne loop but in the opposite direction. Whether you're looking to change things up or live more on that side of town, it’s a nice route when you want something quick and close.

This route heads out of Paris like any ride going southwest, following the Left Bank quai. After making your way through the 15th, you go through the tunnel. While I’ve skipped the tunnel on many other routes, when you're heading to Sèvres, it’s just easier. You continue along the river until Sèvres, where you make your way up the Côte de Ville-d'Avray climb. From there, you keep climbing up the Rue de Versailles. This takes you nearly to Versailles, but the route then loops back toward Paris, passing through the Fausses-Reposes forest and Saint-Cloud.
After descending from Saint-Cloud, you cut north before crossing back over the Seine. This puts you right at the top of the Longchamp loop. The route includes a single lap, but of course, you're welcome to add as many as you'd like if you're looking for a bit more time or mileage. Once you're done with your laps, the route takes you out of the park and back down to the quai for a quick, straight shot back to the café.
