Bièvres++ is the latest expansion of a classic route, perfect for those days you want something less than 70 km but still want to get out of the city.

Starting off as usual, you head out of Paris along the Seine, bypassing the tunnel as you make your way up Clamart. After passing through Meudon and the surrounding forests, you drop down into Bièvres. The variations begin here, first by turning left and taking the lower valley road across to Jouy-en-Josas. Instead of turning right into town, you continue straight and make your way to what I call the bonus climb. This takes you through Les Loges and pops you out in Buc, right above the aqueduct. Then you cut back towards Jouy, continuing through back to Bièvres. While you are doubling back, you are on different roads that have quite different scenery, so it doesn’t feel repetitive. From there, you have two more climbs: one up past the air base and then the final climb through Meudon. From there it’s a quick descent down to the river and a final push along the quai.
This route makes you feel much farther out of the city than you actually are and is one of the best options for something less than 70 km.
