Versailles, Buc, Jouy-en-Josas, Bièvres, Meudon

3 cyclists riding in the fall on a damp morning

There are only so many options for shorter routes, but this one puts a little twist on a classic. Heading out of town, you follow the quai to Sèvres and cut through the Saint-Cloud Forest before looping through Versailles. After climbing past the aqueduct in Buc, you drop back down into Jouy-en-Josas. From there, you follow the winding upper road to Bièvres, where you climb back out of the valley and pass the air base. Next up is a classic Meudon climb, followed by a fast descent back to the quai.

While this route passes through many of the usual areas, the direction and order add a bit of variety and help keep things feeling fresh.
